Todd Samuelson Joins PJHS as Acting Principal
Prairie Rose Public Schools is pleased to announce that Todd Samuelson has accepted the role of Acting Principal at Parkside Junior High School, effective Monday, November 24, 2025.
Todd brings more than 25 years of experience in education, including over a decade in school administration. He previously served as a principal with Medicine Hat Public School Division, where he focused on building strong relationships, supporting staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. Throughout his career, Todd has been recognized as a student-centred leader who values collaboration, clear communication, and creating environments where students and staff feel supported.
This appointment follows last week’s message regarding Principal Jonn Baird’s leave of absence. We are grateful to Vice-Principal Sterling Hamilton and former PJHS Vice-Principal Janet Kraft for providing stability and immediate support during this transition. Todd will work closely with the current administration team to ensure consistency and continuity for students, staff, and families.
Prairie Rose Public Schools will continue to assess and support the needs of the school in the weeks ahead. We will provide updates as necessary to families and the school community.
Please join me in welcoming Mr. Samuelson to the Parkside community. We look forward to the leadership and care he will bring to the school.
